Ms. Tamara Rimes-Merrigan is a principal of Seiler, Zaden, Rimes & Wahlbrink and has been associated with the Firm since 2001. She concentrates her practice in the areas of Probate Administration and Litigation and Guardianship Law, including that involving both incapacitated adults and minors. She has significant jury and non-jury litigation experience.

Ms. Rimes graduated (Magna Cum Laude) from Florida State University with a Bachelor of Science Degree in 1987 and obtained her Juris Doctorate with Honors, from Florida State University College of Law in 1991. Immediately after becoming a member of The Florida Bar, Ms. Rimes joined the Office of the Public Defender until 1994. During her tenure there, Ms. Rimes was chosen as “Attorney of the Year” (1992), was the lead attorney on more than 25 jury trials, and represented hundreds of indigent criminal defendants before various county and circuit court judges.

Prior to her legal career, Ms. Rimes was a professional ballet dancer for nine years and, during that time, was a member of the National Ballet of Holland, Geneva Opera Ballet, Dallas Ballet Company, Los Angeles Ballet Company, and Zurich Opera Ballet. As a principal dancer, she performed a vast repertoire of classical ballet on stage, film and television and toured extensively internationally.

Ms. Rimes resides in Fort Lauderdale, Florida with her husband, Edward H. Merrigan, Jr. and her two young daughters.
