Scott Burgess, Esquire is Of Counsel to Seiler Zaden Rimes and Wahlbrink.

Scott Burgess has devoted his practice exclusively on the needs of business aviation community since 1996. Recognized internationally as pre-eminent in international and US-domestic business aircraft transactions, Scott routinely handles complex cross-border and US domestic purchase, sale, lease and finance transactions, joint-ownership, timesharing and cost-sharing arrangements, charter management, and fractional interests.
Mr. Burgess is a multi-engine IFR rated pilot, and flies regularly from his base at Fort Lauderdale Executive Airport. As an aircraft owner himself, he has first-hand experience dealing with issues that must be addressed on behalf of his clients.

Scott has authored numerous articles on business aviation regulatory and tax topics. He also regularly presents at national and regional business aviation forums. Mr. Burgess is a member of the Florida Bar and United States District Court, Southern District of Florida in 1991; the United States Court of Appeals for the Eleventh Circuit in 1995; United States District Court, Middle District of Florida in 1997; U.S. District Court, Middle District of Florida, 2009; Washington, D.C. Bar, 2006; Florida Supreme Court Certified Mediator, 2007; the National Transportation Safety Board Bar Association in 1997; and became a member of the Lawyer-Pilots Bar Association in 2002. Mr. Burgess graduated from Florida State University (B.S.) in 1987 and from Stetson University College of Law (J.D.) in December 1990.

Scott and his wife, Cheramie, have two daughters, and spend most of their spare time boating in South Florida and the Bahamas, as well as mountain hiking/biking and snow skiing in Utah. In addition, he has participated in several mission trips, served on the board of multiple charitable and non-profit organizations, including service as the founding President of Young Professionals for Covenant House, a member of the Strategic Leadership Committee for his church, a board member of local private schools, a board member of the National Aircraft Resale Association (NARA) and the National Aircraft Finance Association (NAFA).
